About the Project

This May, our favorite half-Filipino king, Iwaizumi Hajime will be bringing his best friends back to his motherland–the Philippines! Catch everyone’s favorite athletic trainer and his best friends (volleyball superstar Oikawa Tooru, funeral director Matsukawa Issei, and barely-minted advertising neophyte Hanamaki Takahiro) as they take their reunion up a notch and embark on an extended vacation around the Pearl of the Orient!Through this project, we will follow Seijoh 4’s shenanigans as they explore the best of Filipino tourism and culture! If you’re wondering how our theme plays to it, it’s very simple: we want to highlight their individual personalities and their unique group dynamic that makes them very easy to transplant into Filipino settings–all of which make them staple favorites among Filipino fans. We especially wanted to explore this concept with an added layer of whimsy, since anyone familiar with HQ knows that Seijoh is made up of the silliest, most unserious guys. For those unfamiliar, for da gala (literally for the travel) is Filipino slang used whenever one takes any trip, even if it's just to the local mall. The Nationwide Mall Tour in our event subtitle is a direct reference to local pop culture and its obsession with love teams who embark on mall tours to meet their fans. Luckily, we found that Seijoh is so well-loved in this country that fans from different regions wanted to host events of their own–making this as much of a nationwide tour as it can get!So what can you expect out of this project? Well, we have a few outputs in mind! We now have a roster of artists and writers working hard to bring you works straight out of Seijoh 4’s adventures as they explore the Philippines. Written works will be shared through our Twitter account while artworks will be compiled in merchandise kits that will be distributed this summer during our cupsleeve events! We’re cooking up more surprises for you so never miss out by leaving your notifications on. ✌️😜

Onsite Event Registration and Mail Orders

What is a cupsleeve event?
A cupsleeve event is a fan gathering celebrating anything and anyone! In the case of anime cupsleeve events, think of it as a mix between maid cafes and K-Pop cupsleeve events. A group of fans produce merchandise kits featuring artworks made by fan artists, and these will be distributed at an onsite event where fans gather.What is this event about?
This non-profit cupsleeve event is a celebration of the friendship between Aoba Johsai’s Third Years: Oikawa Tooru, Iwaizumi Hajime, Matsukawa Issei, and Hanamaki Takahiro set after the timeskip! The theme specifically aims to highlight their individual personalities and their unique group dynamic that makes them easy to transplant in Filipino settings. We will follow half-Filipino Iwaizumi as he brings his best friends on an extended vacation across the many islands of the Philippines!What do people do in these events?
One of the main selling points of anime cupsleeve events is getting to meet and mingle with fellow fans. Often, events like these have programs that include games and raffles, but the beauty mostly lies in getting to sit down with fans and just yapping about whatever’s happening in the fandom! Fans who like to cosplay also have the opportunity to meet fellow cosplayers at events like these. One thing we always love to note is how anime fans are very generous. You'll always find fans giving away freebies (a lot of which they made themselves) to fellow attendees!Can anyone attend?
Of course! Any Haikyu!! fan who enjoys Seijoh will be welcomed with open arms. The only thing you have to do is register!How do I participate in the cupsleeve event?
To participate, an attendee must avail any of the merchandise kits produced by the project and purchase food/drinks at the partner venue. When you register, you will select which of the merchandise kits you’d like to order and get a slot in one of our onsite events.What are my options?
We are offering three kits for you to choose from: ₱220 for the base kit, Sibol; ₱350 for our half kit, Sulong; and ₱560 for our full kit, Layag. Aside from these, you may also complement your kits with any of our add-ons: a canvas tote bag, acrylic standees, and acrylic pins. Please note that the Manila event will only offer a limited number of Sibol kits for onsite attendees.Do I have to buy food/drinks already?
No, we will not be taking orders or payments for meal orders. You may select from the venue partner’s menu and pay for your orders on the day of the event at the register. If ever any of our partner venues asks for advance orders to anticipate demand, we will contact all of the concerned attendees via email.Can I secure multiple slots in one form?
To ensure fairness and to make things easier for headcount, we will follow a 1 form = 1 slot basis for registration. If you would like to register for a friend, don’t worry! We will not restrict emails from only submitting a form once, so you can reuse your email to secure a slot for a friend.Can I buy multiple event kits in one form?
Yes, you can!When will I pay for the kit?
We will require you to submit proof of payment right before submitting your registration. This is so our team will be less burdened with accounting for payments. Each of our branches offer different payment methods so make sure to fill out the correct form for your chosen location.How will I know if my slot is confirmed?
We will send you a confirmation email within 2-5 days after you have successfully filled up the form.I am not sure if I want to purchase an add-on yet. Will it be possible for me to make a separate order for it in the future?
We understand that you may only want to place an order for add-on merch once previews are released. Don’t worry! Placing a separate order just for add-ons is definitely possible, provided you have an existing order for at least one of our kits.I changed my mind about the kit I purchased. Will it be possible for me to change my order?
If you are upgrading your order, then yes! Just fill out the form again, pay for the difference between your first kit and your upgraded kit, and make sure to put an additional note so that the payment will be accounted for properly. However, if you would like to downgrade your order, then that is something we cannot accommodate. But don’t worry! The higher the tier, the better (and more sulit) the kit!Until when can I register?
Right now, we are yet to finalize when our registrations will begin, and we will update once we do. However, all of our forms will close on April 15, 11:59 PM PHT. Our production period will immediately follow and everything will be made-to-order so make sure to bring your orders in before the forms close.I cannot attend any of the onsite events but would like a kit. How can I order one?
Of course! You may register for a mail order kit using the corresponding form for local orders that will be released. The kit will then be shipped from whichever of our event locations is closest to you.Will you be opening international mail orders?
We will never turn away anyone who wants to celebrate Seijoh 4 with us so we will also open a separate form for interested buyers overseas. However, we’d like to note that shipping costs may not be cheap since it will be dependent on your location and the total weight of your order.Can I host a group order for my country/region?
Of course! If there’s enough interest for it, we’d be happy to coordinate with you so that everyone can save on shipping. Send us a message if you’re interested in managing an international group order.

Event Proper

Can I give away merch or freebies?
Of course! One of the most beautiful things that happens in events like these is seeing fans get together and share their love for a certain media. Giving and receiving freebies is definitely a quintessential CSE experience, so we encourage everyone who’s thinking of joining in on the fun to do so. The best part? It doesn’t have to be a lot! We’re sure any generosity will be greatly appreciated. If you plan to give anything away, tag us and use our event hashtag so that the organizers can repost or retweet it for maximum visibility!Is there a dress code?
No, but it’ll be great if you want to dress it up to our theme! Think beachwear or something tourist-y!Can I come in cosplay?
You absolutely can! We encourage everyone who wishes to arrive in cosplay to dress up as their favourite Seijoh or Haikyu!! character. Seijoh schoolgirl outfits have also been popular in Seijoh events overseas. We would just like to remind you to please be mindful of your costumes, as well as your fellow attendees. The team behind Seijoh 4 Da Gala will not be liable if any incidents occur that may damage your costume. (Although, to be fair, this applies mostly to props and we don't think you would need those for your cosplay.)Can I sell at the event?
Buy and sell transactions are definitely permitted in the event! However, we’d like to remind you to please be mindful of the space you use!Can we bring outside food?
Sadly, no. Our venue partners have strict outside food policies, so please only consume foods and drinks from our venue partners.Are walk-ins allowed?
Yes! For the Manila onsite event, walk-in slots for base kits worth PHP 220 will be available. For all other provincial events, walk-in kits with kits worth PHP 150 will be available. You may reach out to each host directly to reserve a slot.I registered for the onsite event but cannot attend.
If this is the case, you have the option of offloading your slot to someone else or asking a friend to pick up your kit for you. If your kit will be picked up, please note that the attendee filling in your slot will still be required to reach the minimum purchase requirement set by the partner venue. Of course, if none of these are possible, then we can also ship out your kit along with your food orders (we still need you to meet the minimum purchase requirement) once they have been disseminated by the cafe.I registered for an onsite event in one location but want to attend the event in another location.
Unfortunately, all of our local hosts operate autonomously when it comes to each of the local events! We may be able to accommodate slot changes, however, only if there are still available slots in the location you wish to attend. Pero ang layo naman ng binyahe mo, teh?! Seijoh 4 Da Gala is a labor of love and strictly a non-profit project–all contributor participation was voluntary. As respect for the artists who lovingly made the pieces we will be enjoying in our kits, we strictly prohibit the resale of any of the inclusions.Do you accept donations/sponsors?
